They Converted a Bus to Search for Land

Holly and Dustin were tired of the typical rent trap and wanted to do something different. They took the first leap of flying to Florida to buy their bus and from there got to work creating a home. With little experience, it took them redoing almost everything 3 times to get the bus to where it is today.

But all that experience is paying off! They now pay their bills by converting buses for other people, and they are on the hunt for the right acreage where they can build a workshop to renovate buses and start a homestead. Enjoy the tour of their rig below!

They have solar panels on sliders installed on the roof of the bus to harness even more power from the sun when they are stationary. The purple exterior door really adds a cozy touch to the bus. Can you imagine yourself living a life like this, in the exploration of your future home? It seems really exciting.

Holly and Dustin built their bus to get out of the rat race! Now that they’ve built it, they are exploring the US in search of a property to build a shop. Meanwhile, the bus features a kitchen with a washing machine, a full bed in the rear of the bus, and a living area with two couches that can convert into a bed for guests. What do you think of this bus conversion?

I love the interior of this bus!! It is so pretty! Btw, there is an International short bus with wheelchair lift for sale in Morganton, NC, with a 3800 DT 466 engine in it, one of the two Legends in motors. It has 250,000 miles (nothing for this engine and trans), diesel, 1998, and is in great shape. Here’s the kicker. He is only asking $4500 for it, so somebody please go buy that wonderful bus and turn it into a previous home! I’m just not in a place to do it right now. But seeing this lovely bus makes me want to have a bus so badly ☹️ Buses are great!
