At Tiny House Talk, we love tiny homes — but we’re especially partial to tiny homes decked out for the holidays! Shelley and Uwe are empty-nesters who decided to downsize into a tiny house, and the results are amazing. The home looks especially lovely all decorated for Christmas.
We got the chance to interview them about why they went tiny and how they feel about moving into a smaller space. Spoiler Alert: They love it! Take a tour of their festive space and read their story below.

They Decked These Tiny Halls for the Holidays!
Our kids were getting married, starting their own families and moving off to college…
We found out real quick how lonely a big house could be and what little space we occupied.
So our venture began to start building our own tiny house.
We bought the shell, and we contracted it out as money became available.
It took a good 18 months from start to finish.
We built on family property.
Really nothing is hard about tiny living. We are literally enjoying it.
The most rewarding part is knowing everything is paid for.
We come home to a very cozy and comfortable home that we love to be in!
Going tiny is the best decision we have ever made. For anyone looing to go tiny, we would say, do it. You will not regret it. Starting is the hardest part.
