Monarch Springs Ranch is a gated tiny-home community in Celeste, Texas — twelve homes on twenty acres around a private lake, about an hour north of Dallas.

The deck is the first thing you see on a lake house here. Wood railing, a dining set under a folded umbrella, a lounge sofa, a bench along the rail. Through the trees, the water.
The operator calls it a gated lakeside tiny home community. The lake is private — fishing and canoeing, three docks, one of them covered. Walking paths run the twenty acres. Ranch hens are on the grounds.

The lake sits still under a blue sky. A wooden dock edges in from the left bank. Trees all the way around.
Inside a Lake House

From the bedroom, glass French doors open onto that same kind of deck. White walls, a wood-plank vaulted ceiling, a gold-frame bed with a knit throw at the foot. A white wardrobe and dresser take the right wall. Through the doors: lake, trees, sky.

The kitchen and living run are one room. White shiplap, the same wood ceiling, dark floors. Two stools at a small peninsula. A white range, a white fridge, lake windows on both sides.
The chair in the foreground has a pillow that reads “home where friends become family.” That is the room — open, short, pointed at the water.

Open the door and the deck is wet. Puddles on the boards. A bench with a yellow cushion. A planter at the rail. The lake is right there.
The Green and the Fire Pit

From a screened porch you look out over the green. A swing with red cushions, two rockers, gray decking. Across the grass: a pergola, a picnic table, other cottages, a gravel path.
The operator names a central green with a fountain and a pergola. The still is the porch looking at it — houses close enough to see the next roof, lawn in between.

At night the fire pit is the gathering. A stone ring, Adirondack chairs — some teal, some wood — string lights in the trees. People sit in a circle. That is the amenity they print: a fire pit with Adirondack chairs.

Sunset through the trees over the water. Twenty acres. Twelve homes. A secure gated entrance on the way in.
The Homesite and the Lake Homes
As of August 27, 2026, the page still lists one homesite available — a $700 monthly lot lease. The last two lake homes are listed at $1,450 or $1,400 a month, including lot rent. The FAQ repeats $700 / $1,400 / $1,450. Those figures are from their page that day. They can move.
The $700 lease includes water, septic, parking for two cars, and mowing. Electric and high-speed internet are billed separately. You can bring your own tiny home onto that homesite, subject to community guidelines.
Pets: maximum two. Fencing is allowed. Outdoor-only pets are not. A background and credit check is required. Tours are by appointment only.
What the page actually offers is a lot lease or a lake-home rental on twenty acres around a private lake. You do not buy the land.
What do you think?
Would twelve homes around a private lake in Celeste feel like enough neighborhood for you, or do you want more houses on the water?
