Cedar Springs Tiny Village is Ohio’s first exclusive tiny living community, offering a peaceful and sustainable lifestyle in New Paris, Ohio. Situated on nearly five acres with lakefront views and mature cedar trees, this community is designed for resident-owned tiny houses on wheels (THOWs), providing a serene lakeside escape that emphasizes simple living without sacrificing modern convenience.

Life on the Lake in Ohio
As the first dedicated tiny home community in the state, Cedar Springs Tiny Village focuses on creating a permanent, close-knit residential environment. Each site offers lakefront views, mature trees, and direct access to local nature trails. One unique perk is the private path leading to ‘The Cedar,’ a local coffee shop and wine bar where residents can gather and connect.

Highlights of Cedar Springs Tiny Village:
- Location: New Paris, OH (near Dayton and Columbus), with a second location in Millersburg.
- Utility Hookups: Sites include full hookups for water, sewage, power, and a recycling program.
- Community Amenities: Lakefront views, walking paths, community garden access, and lawn maintenance.
- Nearby Recreation: Proximity to Natural Springs Resort, offering swimming, fishing, and scuba diving.
- Pet Policy: Furry friends are permitted upon request and approval.

Resident-Owned Living
Unlike some rental communities, Cedar Springs Tiny Village is for those who own their own tiny homes. All homes must be certified Tiny House on Wheels (THOW) builds to ensure safety and quality standards. Lakefront site rentals provide a long-term, stable environment for those ready to commit to the tiny life.

I have a couple of questions. The first is, how much does a lot rental cost? I don’t need lakefront, in case that affects cost. Also, what is the process to get approved to live there? I grew up mostly in Ohio, and have lots of family in the area, so would seriously consider having a small THOW built for me to live in there. I will, however, need a ramp, since I am unable to do stairs anymore.
Hi Nancy — great questions.
I actually went ahead and reached out to them for you and passed along your email, so you should hear back directly with details on lot pricing and the approval process soon.
And I love that you’re thinking about accessibility too — a ramp setup is definitely doable with the right builder, especially if you’re planning from the start.
If you don’t hear back for any reason, feel free to follow up here and I’ll help you track it down 👍
