This 2026 Scamp 13 Layout 1 has a dark grey lower shell, and it is far from a bare-bones Standard.
Its power system pairs a 100Ah lithium battery with a portable solar panel kit. It also has the TV package with an antenna and Starlink prep, an A/C with heat strip, a backup camera, a power tongue jack, an electronic keyless door handle, an anti-sway bar, and a wireless brake controller.
About the Scamp 13
The Scamp 13 is the trailer most people picture when they hear the name: a two-piece molded fiberglass egg that weighs about 1,600 pounds dry and tows behind a lot of midsize SUVs and small pickups. At 13 feet long and 6’8″ wide it fits in tight forest-service sites, and with a 6-foot interior height most adults can stand up inside. Because the shell is molded fiberglass, there are far fewer seams to leak than on a stick-built camper, which is a big reason old Scamps are still on the road decades later.
Layout 1: Big Bed and a Front Sofa
Layout 1 is the simplest Scamp 13 floor plan, and that is its appeal. The rear of the trailer is a dinette that drops into the bed, the galley with a sink and two-burner stove runs along the curbside wall, and the front holds a sofa that doubles as a bunk with storage underneath. There is no bathroom, which frees up room and keeps the weight down; many owners add a portable toilet (Scamp offers a Sani-Potti) and use campground bathhouses.
