The HC1 from Happier Camper is a tiny fiberglass travel trailer with a big personality: a retro egg shape, a porthole in the door, and a huge rear hatch that swings up to open the whole back end. Inside, modular cubes and cushions rearrange into a bed, a dinette, or open cargo space. At about 1,100 pounds dry, it’s light enough that Happier Camper says most standard cars can tow it.

A Rear Hatch That Opens Everything Up
The HC1’s signature feature is its rear hatch. At 54.5 inches wide and 53.5 inches high, it lifts on gas struts to open the whole back of the trailer, so the inside feels like part of the campsite. It’s also the easiest way to load bulky gear.

Inside, grey cushions sit on white modular cubes that can be rearranged into a queen-size bed, seating, or storage. Overhead cabinets add more space, and windows on both sides keep it bright.
Room for Bikes and Gear
Pull the cubes out and the 42 square feet of floor space becomes a gear hauler. You can roll a bike right through the hatch, which makes the HC1 handy for weekend adventures as well as camping.

A Tiny Footprint in Fun Colors
The shell itself is just 10 feet long, and 13’5″ overall with the tongue, with an exterior height of 7’8″. Inside, it’s 6’6″ wide (6’11” at the bed) with 6’1″ of headroom, so most people can stand up to change. The HC1 comes in a range of two-tone colors, from sage and pale yellow to teal and pastel pink.

Three Packages to Choose From
The HC1 comes in three main packages. The Essentials package includes a queen-size bed, a stowable portable toilet, and a rear sliding window. The Adventure package adds a twin bed and more features, and the Summit package includes Happier Camper’s premium features, such as a compact kitchenette with a drawer fridge.
