It’s called the 2027 Basecamp. As of August 28, 2026, Airstream’s model page prints From $69,900 — 20 feet, one axle, sleeping capacity 4, one floor plan.
The still is the aluminum shell on dry grass at the water: wraparound front window, a black pod on the tongue, a paddleboard against the side, a kayak on the bank. Someone in a wetsuit is at the rear with a hose.
A second official still puts the same single-axle trailer on a grassy shelf above a driftwood beach. Two people and a dog on the sand. Rear hatch visible. This is the 20-foot Basecamp.
Kitchen, Bathroom, Lounge That Becomes the Bed
Airstream’s floor-plan line, as printed: “With a kitchen, a bathroom, and a lounge area that turns into a bed, we packed everything you need into one of our smallest camping travel trailers, and it’s ready for adventure.”
Looking aft from the galley: white counter, two-burner with a black glass lid, round stainless sink. A microwave over a stainless fridge. A white door with a small oval window — the bathroom. At the rear, dark quilted benches and two white pedestal tables. That lounge is the bed.
Kitchen close: wood-look counter, the two-burner lid up, the sink, a pop-up outlet tower, a spice rack in the cabinet. Big windows on water and trees.
Same run from another angle. The bath door sits mid-aisle. Mesh cargo nets along the upper curve. The floor is dark and textured.
The Lounge Is the Sleep
Polished aluminum walls, two people in the space, the fridge open. The lounge benches face a pair of small white tables. This is where four people sit.
Facing dark-grey benches, wave quilt on the backs, mesh nets overhead, cubbies in the aluminum wall. Sleeping capacity is 4 because this lounge turns into a bed — not because there is a second bedroom.
Airstream’s adaptable-interior still is the conversion: a person dropping a cushion into the U to fill the gap. BASECAMP on the backrest. The wraparound window is the view from the bed.
The hard part is the obvious one: 20 feet, one axle, one floor plan. The kitchen and bathroom stay put. The sleep is the lounge.
By the Numbers — Lineup Ranges
The family Basecamp page, as of August 28, 2026, prints By the Numbers for the lineup — not a single-SKU spec sheet. Lengths 20 ft. Sleeping Capacity up to 4. GVWR 4,300 – 4,500 lbs. Hitch Weight 508 – 535 lbs. Fresh Water 23 gals.
