Editor’s note (October 13, 2026): Sol has sold. Tiny Haven now marks her “Sold – Pending Pick Up.” We’re keeping the tour up as a record of the renovation. Scroll down for tiny homes that are still for sale.

A vintage 1965 Airstream Caravel — 17 feet, 2,250 pounds, all-new 50-amp electric and no propane — was listed for $65,000 just outside Richmond and has since sold. Tiny Haven named her Sol.

Danielle and Jonathan renovated this one as a mid-century modern apartment on wheels: full kitchen, tiled bath, a custom couch that pulls out into a double bed, and all the decor. Let’s take a closer look.

The Reno

We’ve featured Tiny Haven before — Gypsy, their 1976 Airstream, and the West Virginia retreat. Sol was listed for sale in August 2026 and has since sold.

The shell is a 1965 Caravel. Tiny Haven’s write-up calls the reno careful and thoughtful: mid-century modern, apartment-style, ready for tiny-house life or a comfortable trip. In the photos, the aluminum is polished, the hitch and step are teal, and the door opens onto light LVP, a mustard couch, and woods.

Mid-Century Layout

135 square feet. One bed, one bath. The listing’s bed is a custom couch that pulls out into a double for two. Opposite that is a dining bar with two stools. A black electric fireplace sits between them. A white mini-split is on the wall over the rear window; a roof fan is in the curved ceiling.

Closet and pantry are on the list. In the photos, a tall wood cabinet holds the microwave in an open cubby, with storage above and below. Waterproof LVP runs the length. All decor is included — the El Sol print, the radio, the pillows, the plants.

Kitchen & Bath

The kitchen is listed as full: fridge, sink, microwave, and an induction hot plate. Photos show a white retro fridge under the butcher-block counter, a square sink with a gold gooseneck, picket tile, open shelves on leather straps, and a compact microwave in that pantry cubby. The induction plate is on the listing; it is not in these frames.

The bath is tiled, with a shower and an RV toilet. The shower has a gold head and handheld and hex floor tile. The toilet sits under a window with gold fan-pattern privacy film. Tiny Haven also lists all-new plumbing and a new black tank.
