Sarah renovated a 1973 Avion La Grande as her full-time tiny house — 29′ × 7′10″, 205 square feet (19 m²) on the Tiny House Expedition listing as of September 5, 2026. She is the designer behind Sukkha Interior Design, and the trailer is parked outside Asheville, NC.

The exterior still is the silver Avion on gravel under trees: the rounded aluminum body left unpainted and unpolished, awning windows down the side, a roof air conditioner, the entry door open, and a wooden chest doing double duty as a step and storage. The renovation keeps the vintage shell and rebuilds everything inside it.
The Living Lounge
The front of the trailer is the lounge, and it is the reason to keep a 1970s shell: the original wraparound windows put trees on three sides of the room.
A striped bench with pillows runs one side, a pale pink ottoman pulls in as extra seating, and a cane-front wood desk with a rolling chair turns the same room into an office. The listing calls it the multifunctional living room, and the furniture is why: nothing here does only one job.
The Kitchen and the Hallway
Looking back from the lounge, the kitchen runs along one wall — white cabinets with brass pulls, a butcher-block counter, a sink under the window and a cooktop beside the refrigerator.
A pink checkered runner marks the hallway, and the bedroom sits at the far end of it. In 7 feet 10 inches of width, the whole plan is one line: lounge, kitchen, bath, bed — no wasted circulation.
The Bedroom
The bedroom fills the back of the trailer with a real bed rather than a convertible dinette.
Terracotta and cream bedding, woven wall pieces, cane-front cabinets overhead, and windows on both sides. The designer’s hand shows in the restraint — warm neutrals and natural textures instead of the dark wood the trailer would have shipped with.
The Bathroom
The bathroom carries the same materials: an oval sink dropped into a wood counter, cane cabinet fronts with brass pulls, and a black-and-white floral shower curtain.
Plants sit on the windowsill above the sink, and a penny-tile floor runs under the shower. It is a full wet-and-dry bathroom in a 205-square-foot trailer.
