Nico & Jona walk through their tiny house truck — a used 2012 Dove LF 55 (DAF LF 55.210 on the badge) with a square white living box. The tour, uploaded September 9, 2022, runs 8 minutes 53 seconds.

Video: Van Tour of our Tiny House Truck. Channel: Nico & Jona. Uploaded September 9, 2022. 8 minutes 53 seconds. Truck: used 2012 Dove LF 55 — four cylinders, 206 horsepower, six-speed automatic. They bought it with over 600,000 kilometers on it; the dash in the tour shows 652,982 km.

The tiny house features a blue DAF cab and a white living box with polyester-and-wood walls and a roof already insulated with XPS foam. They picked a square box after two curved van builds (Charlie and Casper). At the rear, a hydraulic liftgate drops to a wood-slat outdoor deck with sliding glass doors into the living room.
It features a bought tan sofa just inside those doors, with black drawers under the seat on herringbone wood flooring. A brother-in-law who works as a tiny house architect helped open the layout for long sightlines instead of boxing the cabin with cabinets.

A raised platform holds the kitchen and the multipurpose table — Ikea black cabinets, a wood counter, dark green subway tile, a black sink, a gas cooktop and oven, and a dishwasher behind a matching door. Under the raised floor, sliding trays hold pantry and firewood. The square wood table on a pedestal rotates between prep, dual-monitor desk, indoor meals, and outdoor meals on the liftgate deck.

The bed is a normal mattress in a low cab-over alcove at the front of the box, above the truck cab — black walls, a wood ceiling, and a side window to the trees. A small wood stove with a steel flue sits in the main cabin.

The wet bath has dark tile, a Cinderella incineration toilet, and a Nebia halo shower they bought secondhand. In the tour they put the Nebia flow at 2.8 liters per minute. The incineration toilet runs on gas for about 30 to 45 minutes after each use and gets a weekly clean; they bought it secondhand instead of paying about 5,000 euros new. A compact “mini” washing machine is mounted in the bath area — about 800 euros as spoken.
Fuel use is spoken at about 20 liters per 100 kilometers. They name what is still missing — a simple mirror — and close on the truck as a lifestyle, not a perfect build.
