An 8×40 Shipping Container Home

Kayleigh’s UnContainedDreams home is an 8 ft × 40 ft shipping container — 320 square feet — found on Facebook Marketplace. The Tiny Home Tours listing, as of September 5, 2026, puts the home price at $125,000; the video prints the same figure on screen, along with lot rent of $1,100/mo.

The exterior still shows the container left legible as a container: black corrugated steel walls, the original cargo doors folded back against the end wall, and new openings cut for a wood-trimmed entry door and a white-framed window. Wooden steps and a concrete pad make the entry.

The Living Area

Inside, 8 feet of width means everything is arranged along the length. A wall-mounted TV sits above a narrow wood console that runs as a bar, desk and record-player shelf all at once, with pink upholstered stools tucked underneath.

Plants, shelves and framed art climb the walls because the floor cannot hold them. The navy kitchen counter starts a few feet on, and the sliding glass doors at the other end of this room open to the patio.

The Kitchen

The kitchen is the strongest argument in the house: navy cabinets, white marble-look counters, a deep undermount sink with a black gooseneck faucet, and a full-size stainless range and refrigerator.

Floating wood shelves carry the pottery and mugs — Kayleigh is an art teacher, and her own work is part of how the listing describes the house. The hallway past the fridge runs back toward the bathroom and the bedroom.

The Bathroom

The bathroom vanity is a white vessel sink on a marble-look counter over navy cabinets, with a round backlit mirror and towels on wall hooks.

The listing’s THE DETAILS block names no bathtub and two shower heads. The glass shower sits just off frame to the right, with the stacked washer and dryer built into the same run.

The Bedroom

The bedroom is a walled room at the end with a queen bed, a black slatted headboard, and a window on each side — a real bedroom, not a loft.

A mini-split, framed art, a hanging guitar and a Pendleton blanket finish it. The fold-up desk the listing mentions folds down from the wall at the foot of the bed, so the room works as a studio without a permanent desk taking floor space.

It features rooms the listing’s THE DETAILS block names: full-size oven and stove, a big sink, floating shelves with pottery; a bathroom with no bathtub and two shower heads; a queen bed with a fold-up desk; a pullout couch; and sliding glass doors to a patio.

The same dated listing, as of September 5, 2026, prints 5-year seller financing and lot rent of about $1,100 per month — report only, not advice.
