The brilliant turquoise lower shell is the first thing you notice on this 2026 Scamp 13, a nod to the retro colors Scamps have worn for decades. It is a Layout 2, which means a wet bath in 13 feet, and it is built and ready.
Climate control is well covered with an air conditioner with soft start and a heat strip plus a 20,000 BTU furnace. It also has an 8-foot awning, a backup camera, and a wireless brake controller.
About the Scamp 13
The Scamp 13 is the trailer most people picture when they hear the name: a two-piece molded fiberglass egg that weighs about 1,600 pounds dry and tows behind a lot of midsize SUVs and small pickups. At 13 feet long and 6’8″ wide it fits in tight forest-service sites, and with a 6-foot interior height most adults can stand up inside. Because the shell is molded fiberglass, there are far fewer seams to leak than on a stick-built camper, which is a big reason old Scamps are still on the road decades later.
Layout 2: A Wet Bath in 13 Feet
Layout 2 trades the front sofa for a wet bath with a toilet and shower, plus a closet. That is rare in a trailer this short, and it is the reason a lot of people pick this plan. The rear is still a dinette that converts to the bed, and the galley with the sink and stove sits across from the door. It is a self-contained setup for boondocking or for anyone who would rather not walk to the bathhouse at 2 a.m.
