Allison realizes it sounds cliche, but after a tough breakup she found herself wondering what to do next with her life. She didn’t have anything holding her down and had always wanted to start her own business, so that breakup launched her into a new van lifestyle!
She had a budget, though, and she stuck to it. Including the purchase of the van itself, she spent just $25K to create her tiny home on wheels. It’s decked out with everything needed to keep her cat safe and happy, as well, including a litter box and room for a cat stroller.

Wondering about insulation, heat/ac other than from running engine and does she only stay in free/boondock areas – do windows open/have screens.
Love this build! Allison, you did a great job with manifesting your dream and that you stayed within your budget makes the van especially wonderful. So many builds have all the bells and whistles, and that’s great too! But seeing frugality here warms my heart. Allison, your van is so cozy. Love that you have your kitty with you. Really well done. Thank you for the inspiration!!
Yes I love seeing people make amazing homes without spending tons and tons.
