The Hermitage: Log Cabin Park Model In the Woods

This post contains affiliate links.

Charles and Bob live in “The Hermitage,” a stunning stacked-log park model tiny house that features a spacious screened-in porch with an attached dog run. It was built by Green River Log Cabins in South Carolina.

For about six years during his adult life, Charles was a monk. The name “Hermitage” is meant to reflect some of the spiritual tranquility he found during that time of his life. And tranquil is exactly how to describe their property. It’s surrounded by trees and feels perfectly secluded.

Inside the home you’ll find live-edge cedar counter tops, a downstairs bedroom with built-in wardrobes and tons of lovely log-cabin decor. Enjoy the Tiny Home Tour below.

What a great home! The community sounds perfect and the location being close to so many large cities is really attractive. I could see being very happy here.

Very nice. I live near Huntsville as well and have had my eye on that community for some time, but just couldn’t pull the trigger and now I wish I had. I am now closer to retirement and more ready, but my ideal market has passed me by price wise due to everyone wanting to isolate. Oh well, I can wait it out and keep looking. Enjoy guys!!

I’ve watched countless Tiny Home videos through the last 7+ years, many I’ve stopped at about 2 minutes due to personal tastes. LOVE THIS HOME!!! I have land in another state with many cedar trees. I know mine won’t turn out as perfect as their home but man o man, there wasn’t anything, short of river rock :), that I would change. Good job!

Saw this story on UTube and then found this story on internet search. I would like to know the name of the tiny house development where these gentlemen have there tiny house. Evidently there a re a lot of communities that sell or rent land for tiny houses but theirs looked and sounded like something we would apprecate as retired couple. Thank you for your response.
