NEVER TOO SMALL walks Casa VA, a 1930s flat in Madrid’s Chamberí designed by architect Iñigo Palazón of DIIR. The listing title and the article print 47sqm / 506sqft — not a tape-measure.

Never Too Small’s article, dated July 16, 2026 — How Furniture Replaces Walls In This 47sqm/506sqft Madrid Home — embeds this tour. Writing: Bec Vrana Dickinson.
The Granite Platform
The living run is a U-shaped granite platform. Grey cushions make a low sofa. The article says that sofa is also a guest bed.
A circular cutout in the stone holds a plant. Recessed shelves in the wall take the books. White horizontal blinds cut the Chamberí light into stripes on the floor.
A Storage Unit Instead of a Wall
A freestanding storage unit stands in the middle of the plan. The article names it double-sided — furniture doing the work of a wall. At the kitchen edge of this still: a stainless counter and a grey door with a slim handle.
The article’s compact kitchen is that stainless counter, IKEA boxes, and custom metallic fronts.

From the dining end the whole flat reads at once. Round table, crumpled paper pendant, storage unit, granite sofa, a white riveted steel column, two wood steps. A man walks the rise. Behind the storage unit, a bed with white linens sits on the raised floor.
The Table and the Two-Step Rise

The dining and work table is round — grey on top, wood on the edge. A laptop, a mug, a yellow tin, books. The paper pendant hangs over it.
The storage unit’s doors are open to shelves of glassware and books. Two wood steps rise beside the steel column to the bedroom. The article walks a raised bedroom, a microcement bathroom, and laundry off the dining space.

The tour names Iñigo Palazón on screen: Architect. Casa VA is his project at DIIR.
