Here’s an amazing off-grid A-frame for artists and dreamers and anyone looking for a relaxing vacation that’s a step up from camping. The A-frame is actually two A-frames, connected by a “normal” square that has a rooftop deck.
The house sits on a large acreage where there are a number of other off-grid accommodations and shared spaces, including an outdoor kitchen, lots of picnic tables, and a shared fire pit. There are communal composting toilets and a solar shower. Take a look below!

A-Frame Built From Reclaimed Barn Wood
There’s a lovely queen bed at one end.
I love the diamond cut-out in the front door.

There’s no running water, but they have drinking water available.

This is our 7th and newest accommodation in a collection of unique handbuilt structures. Artist designed and constructed, this modern and reclaimed barnwood A frame is cozy and invites you to hang in bed and gaze out the scenic windows, or get out and explore the 15 acre former apple orchard. It offers a queen bed, with fresh linens, towels, clean drinking water, and a few special details. Solar lights glow inside in the evening, and the stargazing here is spectacular!
