Amelia and Dave worked on Broadway until 2020, leaving them without jobs — so they converted their first RV and decided to travel instead! They loved the conversion process so much that they started doing it for a living. The rig below is their home on wheels, which meets all their needs as a couple who loves cooking and playing board games.

They turned drab and dark into a bright, cozy space with sage green and rattan accents, a massive DIY island, and a one-of-a-kind shower stall covered in vinyl wallpaper. You’re going to love the tour of this brilliant space below.

Highlights:

  • They added a custom-build island with an additional wine fridge and replaced the old sink with an acrylic one that mimics a traditional farmhouse sink.
  • It was hard to watch TV with the old couches, so they replaced them with a larger daybed and sofa, and added concrete countertops beneath the TV.
  • They chose an L-shaped dinette to replace the original one, and added a retro-inspired table-top that’s large enough for their favorite board games.
  • For extra storage, she built a 6-drawer dresser inside their large closet in the bedroom. Plus they made an awesome custom headboard!
  • The bathroom has a bathtub for their pets and an incredible shower stall covered in vinyl wallpaper covered with marine boat varnish. Brilliant!
