Lessons from This Design
- Two Bathrooms Elevate Small Home Livability: Including both an en-suite and guest bathroom provides convenience that many larger homes offer, making compact living feel less like a compromise
- Mid-Century Design Maximizes Light: Clean lines and walls of windows characteristic of mid-century architecture make smaller spaces feel open and connected to the outdoors
- Carports Extend Protected Space: An attached carport provides covered parking while maintaining the home’s design aesthetic through decorative screening
- Private Lots Within Communities Offer Both: A wooded, private lot within a managed community combines the privacy of standalone ownership with the convenience of included maintenance and security
- Built-Ins Replace Furniture: Custom bureaus, nightstands, and shelving eliminate the need to find and fit freestanding furniture, ensuring everything works in the space

Love the size, layout, and look of this house, but not interested in Tampa. Would love something like this lakeside somewhere, I’d never leave!
I love this. So bright and cheerful, but not in Florida.
Wow! This is fabulous! Very spacious! Love that there is a half bath for guests…keep the main bathroom for myself. I could definitely see myself living in this, for sure. Great floor plan that I think many will be inspired by when either looking for one in their own area or that they have built for them. Thanks for sharing! Thanks for all the inspiring newsletters.
