Tucked away in the rural town of Thonotosassa, Florida, near Tampa is a tiny house community unlike any other.
I recently had a chance to preview Escape’s Oaks Tiny House Community right before the grand opening and I was so impressed with the property. From the beautiful tiny homes to the natural surroundings, this tiny house village is really something special. If you’re interested, there’s still a chance to visit with an open house happening this Saturday, May 6th, from 9 am to 12 pm.

The oak trees are just soaring above this unit! You can see a little bit of where the name of the community was inspired by the images below.

This unit seems to get to sit in the shade most of the time.

Below is a look at an eVista XLS unit. It’s a no-loft design with an open concept. Reference lot 12.

Here is an eOne Wide and Tall tiny house tucked under a mature oak tree. Many of the seemingly ordinary tiny homes in the community are actually often taller and/or wider than most tiny homes, offering a precious amount of extra space for tiny living. And it makes a pretty big difference! Some of the units are just a little bit wider, and you can really feel the difference. Some of them also have taller lofts, which you can immediately notice.

Next, I’ll take you inside the smallest tiny home on the property which is the Vista Boho. This tiny house gives you an open-concept living space where you can live, work, cook, clean, eat, sleep, and of course, there’s a bathroom on the other end. It’s everything you need in an elegant and simplified design. Reference lot 14 Vista Boho for availability.

This unit is 5 feet longer than the normal Boho XL and it features a private bedroom. As I write this, it’s still available for $99,930 and a lot rent of $575/month. Check here for the most current availability and reference lot 15.

This is the Traveler XL unit which is right next to the Classic that we looked at earlier.

This Traveler XL unit is unique in that it features an additional sliding glass door in the bedroom area of the tiny house, which leads you right out to the rear deck. This is so nice!

This tiny house also has a built-in fold-flat couch, a loft over the bathroom, a full kitchen, and a table for working and dining.

Lot 16 is currently still available as I write this, and it is a Traveler XLS Wide. The price is $164,868 with a $650/month lot rent. Which is your favorite tiny house in this community? Would you consider living here?

Final thoughts
I love that the tiny homes are all built with the surroundings in mind and the community is so close-knit yet also nicely spaced out for privacy. There are a variety of tiny homes to choose from with everything done for you making it a great option for a home for anyone looking to downsize and simplify their living arrangements. All in all, this tiny house community seems like a great place to live and I highly recommend considering it.

The community as well as the homes are beautiful. Both look very enticing. However, after living in a 55+ park in Queen Valley and Gold Canyon, (both 60 miles east of Phoenix). We found the people living in both parks were rude, entitled, gossipy and mean spirited. Big mistake on our part but we learned our lesson!
