Anna got her tiny house on a whim! She was renting a 3-bedroom home when a friend was going tiny. Anna loved the sound of that and contacted a local builder with an immediate build slot available—and jumped on the opportunity. Soon, she had a stunning Scandi-style tiny house on wheels and an incredible off-grid parking spot in the Tasmanian wilderness.
Initially from Sweden, Anna loved channeling the simplicity and minimalism of her home country by downsizing all of her belongings. She felt so free and got rid of years of “stuff” accumulation. Her home has a fantastic open-concept design with a tiny wood stove, a large kitchen, and a super cozy bed nook.

Details:
- Anna is Swedish and loved returning to her Scandinavian roots with this Scandi-inspired tiny house design.
- She had a friend going tiny and, on a whim, contacted a builder in her area. They just so happened to have a trailer ready to go from another customer who dropped out, and Anna slept on it and said yes the next day!
- About four weeks before the completion of the house, Anna still had no parking place. But one person talked to another person, and she found an incredible off-grid location in the Tasmanian wilderness!
- Her home is all on one level, with a super comfortable bed at one end.
- She chose a large galley kitchen with two sides because cooking is important to her.
