Sleek Black THOW by Tiny House Manufaktur

Conventional design wisdom claims you can’t use dark colors in small spaces, but this tiny house built in Germany by Tiny House Manufaktur shows there’s an exception to every rule.

Paired with a light, natural wood, the black cabinets, steps, and accent walls in this THOW not only work but provide a modern, luxurious aesthetic. There’s an abundance of hidden storage in this home, with tons under the stairs, and an additional storage/sleeping loft over the living area.

To me, it looks like that couch could easily become another guest bed, and the bathroom includes a flush toilet and heated towel rack (one of Europe’s best inventions, in my humble opinion). You can get in touch with the builder here.

Sleek, Black Tiny House on Wheels by Tiny House Manufaktur in Germany

This tiny house has a slanted roof that’s tallest over the sleeping area.

Here’s the kitchen with lovely butcher block counter tops.

Here’s the storage loft (or secondary sleeping area).

This box is actually a table!

Ta-da! It’s very similar to an IKEA table, but it gets better.

It can move all around the tiny house!

Here’s the storage in the staircase.

How handy are the lights? I love this idea.

This black bathroom with white appliances looks stunning.

Here’s the glass shower stall and a mini vanity.

Highlights:

  • Flush toilet
  • Shower stall
  • Heated towel rack
  • Four-burner cooktop
  • Oven
  • Large countertops
  • Sleeping loft
  • Storage loft
  • Hidden IKEA-like table

I AM NOT A FAN OF THAT VIDEO, BECAUSE IT’S NOT INVITING TO ME. I COULDN’T GET THE JEST OF IT ALL AS ONE. I’m SORRY FOR NOT BEING ABLE TO SEE IT IN IT’S JUST RIGHT. IT NEEDS TO FLOW THROUGH LIKE MELTING BUTTER. NOT SO RUSHED, AND IMPERSONAL.

A word I wouldn’t use is sleek. Some interesting innovations and I do like a black interior but not in THs or so much.
Nice set up and one thing not mentioned is the loft ladder used as the loft railing.
Not sure if the table is worth the hassle as I’d just leave it attached to the wall with a center folding leg.
Nice size, big enough for 1 or 2 in love.
Adding a solar roof ‘Florida’ screened or walled room is common, smart, low cost.

I do like the layout but the black isn’t flattering. Makes it very dark, depressing. The storage in the stairs is nice but the sleeping loft is cramped looking. Not that I couldn’t design it the way I want. For them this is beautiful to them as they designed it. Outside is impressive looking.

I love the black interior…my taste totally. Not sure why there is so many negative comments. Choose one more to your liking. This one is for me. LOVE IT.
