This is an excellent way to go. Keep it simple, low cost. While bed and desk should be multipurpose, this comes as an open plan which is a great way to set it up for you.
Note if you assemble it yourself it can be done for about $10k-15k. Since a simple design it can be built in 2 days except some finishing work by having everything ready and a couple good people and should be done that way instead of dragging it out, saves a lot more money, time, hassle than costs of labor.
In the next 10 yr the world is going to completely change as the FF industry dies switching to RE, EVs and automation, AI takes a lot more jobs and who knows what else, having a paid for home, EV/ebike with solar, food garden, makes surviving whatever is coming a lot easier.
And either amass a large bank account or work less, enjoy life, family having no rent, bills to take it all.
