Lessons from This Property
- Land Bundled with THOW Solves Zoning Challenges: Purchasing a tiny house that comes with its own unrestricted acreage eliminates the most common barrier to tiny living—finding a legal place to park
- Dual Sleeping Areas Accommodate Families: Combining a main-floor bedroom with a sleeping loft creates flexibility for couples with children or frequent guests without increasing the footprint
- Redundant Climate Systems Ensure Comfort: Installing both mini-splits and a wood stove provides backup heating options while the wood stove also supplies ambiance and reduces electricity dependence
- Full-Size Appliances Fit in Compact Kitchens: Including a standard refrigerator, dishwasher, and washer/dryer proves that downsizing living space does not require sacrificing household conveniences
- Proximity to Public Land Expands Living Space: Bordering Pisgah National Forest effectively extends the usable outdoor area far beyond the 2.4 acres for hiking, foraging, and recreation

Very nice but overpriced.
For a real estate listing where the median home pricing, as of December for last statistic posted, in the area is $529K… Nope, just the market there right now…
Besides, value of property isn’t limited to it’s size. Like being able to farm, homestead, have free use, having good views, being in a desirable area, etc. isn’t a given with just any property. Location, and everything that goes with it will always effect the value of a property…
True, James. I live in NC and was thinking that this was a great price for a lovely little home on lots of land in a good area.
The house is adorable and when I saw the bedroom on the main floor I was sold. Now if you could pick up the home, and land and transport it all to Vancouver Island, British Columbia we would be set.
The price is what I’d call a smoking hot deal. You can’t find a city sized lot 32 Ft. wide for that price, $250K.
Having a stream and being able to farm the property of more than 2 acres is amazing. In many places in British Columbia that amount of land and house could not be had for that price. It would most likely be over a million. In Vancouver, B.C., the last time I looked at parking spots, in a condo building, one was $110K and another $100K.
The fireplace is so cute. Its perfect for when the power goes out. I like where the washer and dryer are. The bathroom looks like its a good size. This house has everything a person could want. The tree out front of the house is lovely. It would make a great vacation home also.
This is one of the nicest tiny homes I’ve seen. There are others which are more upscale, etc. but this one just has everything in the right place for me.
I wonder how far to the nearest grocery store, What the Property taxes are, What the utilities would cost, nearest hospital.
You may be able to find out that information from the listing if they have a Google map showing the location, or from googling the address.
