This beautiful A-frame tiny house is 252 square feet, but its extra tall ceilings make it look taller and skinnier than it truly is on the inside. The house sits in the Desert of Maine Campground, located near sprawling sand dunes smack-dab in the middle of the Maine forest — a natural leftover of the last ice age!
The simple cabin has a queen-sized bed, and two twin mattresses that can be pulled out at night for kids. A half-bath sits behind the bed, and there’s a little kitchen area with a retro mini-fridge, kettle, and Keurig. Outside the A-frame, you’ll find a small fire pit with Adirondack chairs, and a picnic table for meals. What do you think of this cute space?

The cabin is 14’x18′ with dramatic 18′ ceilings, and includes a private deck, queen bed, half bath (toilet and sink), and two twin mattresses on the floor. Each cabin comes fitted with linens (sheets, quilt or down comforter, towels for two, and pillows), a fan, a privacy curtain, a kettle, tea, mini refrigerator, two Adirondack chairs, a premium fire ring w/ integrated grill, and a small picnic tab
These cabins are located in the Desert of Maine Campground which is on-site at the Desert of Maine, a nearly 100-year-old tourist attraction located in Freeport. The Desert is 40 acres of rolling sand dunes in the middle of a lush Maine forest, a natural phenomenon created during the last ice age. The tourist attraction includes self-guided tours about the history and geology of the Desert, exhibits for kids, a train ride, and a new mini golf course!
The campground has been recently renovated. It is quiet and serene, surrounded by tall northern pines. There is a 24×7 Camp Store where you can buy bundled wood, snacks, drinks, ice cream, ice, and other essentials. We also have lawn games like corn hole, bocce, hook & ring, and more.
