This is the Fjallstuga A-Frame plans by the Small House Catalog. While we’ve shown you an earlier version of these, they recently updated the plans and added some new renderings to show off the possibilities!
The great thing about these plans is the first-floor bedroom at the back of the A-Frame, which means you don’t have to climb a ladder or stairs into a loft bedroom. That space could be used as an office, storage, or a place for kids. The plans have a 3/4 bathroom, a compact kitchenette, and a spacious living room with a wood-burning stove. What makes this model unique is its combination of the classic A-frame silhouette in the main living area with a conventional four-wall addition at the back for the bedroom and bathroom—eliminating the need for a loft while maintaining full headroom throughout.

Traditional A-frames sacrifice headroom along the sloped walls, often requiring loft bedrooms accessed by ladder. This Liberation design solves that problem by transitioning to standard wall construction where it matters most:

Hope you’re not afraid of heights because this tiny A-frame cabin is perched 40 feet in the air! The exterior is all windows and angles, including a diamond shape on one side, but the interior is full of curved details and has a cozy ambiance to soften the feel of the space. It was designed and built by the team at Repère Boréal in Charlevoix, Quebec, and they call it The Uhu.
Getting up into the cabin is a pretty cool experience: you climb an enclosed spiral staircase and once you reach the top, you cross a 20-foot bridge to get to the cabin’s front door.

This is a whimsical A-frame cabin in Hoodsport Washington for $174,950, according to M4 Real Estate Group via Zillow.
The tiny cabin, including loft space, has 876-sq.-ft. of space inside! It features 3-bedrooms and 1-bathroom. The lot is surrounded by mature trees and even features RV parking so it may even be a tiny house-friendly property. Seems like it could be something to consider. What do you think?

This is the story of an A-frame tiny house near Zion National Park in Utah. Even better, there’s a tiny house on wheels on the property too which happens to be your bathhouse.
It’s located in Hildale, Utah and is actually a glamping/vacation rental featuring a unique custom window which is really just exposed framing with clear material over it. Definitely reminds me of our friend Deek’s designs and his A-frame cabin.

This is an A-frame pod vacation rental outside of Ljubljana, Slovenia. It’s designed to be a luxury camping experience, or what they’ve been calling glamping these days.
The units are very simple… They’re designed to accommodate two guests and yes, they actually do come with your own private (but separate) bathroom because otherwise, that wouldn’t be luxurious, would it? ?
