Johnny recently upgraded to a detachable truck camping bed to enhance his adventure sports travels. A couple of years prior, he hopped on the nomadic life train by building out a shuttle bus conversion to pursue adventure sports. And while that setup worked, he decided the bus-plus-car was too long, and he wanted something he could get around with more easily.
That led him to a truckbed camper that he could remove from his flatbed truck when he wanted to get around! This model comes with a bump out that gives his dogs more space to move around the home. So far, he’s loving the upgrade!

Upgrading from Shuttle Bus to Detachable Truck Camping Bed!

He chose a flatbed truck so he could use the extra space for storing gear. In addition, Johnny’s decision to switch to a truck camping bed has greatly improved his mobility on the road.

Highlights:
- Johnny loves adventuring and wanted to get to his athletic spots more easily, so he converted a shuttle bus and towed his car behind.
- But that was getting challenging, since he was about as long as a semi-trailer!
- The truck camper allows him to separate the truck from his home, but he’s only about 28′ long now.
- He chose a camper with a bump out, so his two dogs can have more space.
- This rig has a wet bath, which is easy to clean.
With his new detachable truck camping bed, Johnny is ready to embark on even more exciting adventures, thanks to enhanced mobility and comfort on the road.
