This epic DIY truck house is 8′ long x 6′ wide and sits on the flatbed of a 1996 Ford F-350.

It was designed and built by Timmy from Truck House Life as a full-time home on wheels for his adventurous lifestyle in Alaska.

The cabin on wheels is insulated with spray foam and it has two systems for heat: a diesel Webasto heater, and a Kimberly woodstove.

The kitchen is super compact, with a water jug and hand pump tucked behind the stovetop and oven.  He uses a bowl to collect the used water and this simple system means he doesn’t have to worry about pipes and pumps freezing.  Timmy also has a cutting board that can be hooked onto the side of the oven when he needs a bit of space for food prep.

The rest of the truck camper is a giant lounging space with two full-length couches.  One of them is a jack knife sofa that quickly folds down into a double bed, and the other is a DIY slat bed that can be pulled out to create a more comfortable double bed.

Timmy has been living full-time in his truck house for over a year, and it allows him to get outside to kayak, ski, snow machine, and even sleep in parking lots when his band, The Shoot Dangs, plays shows all over the state.

    1. Mustve been stuff you have been looking at in the past. The only ads that come up for me is home depot and cargurus website for suv’s I’ve looked at. Your ads have nothing to do with this specific website ?

  1. I saw an article about him being stranded in Alaska. He tried to enter Canada to try to drive back to the lower states and he was denied because of Canada’s insane Covid policy.

  2. This is a bit off-topic, but I caught one of this fellow’s YouTube videos filmed in Anchorage and he turned me on to THE BEST smash burger I’ve ever eaten. I didn’t know what a smash burger was but, I’m a believer … er, eater now! They are delicious. Took me a minute to find it, but here is the video if you’re interested: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nz_qLPPs938 His house truck life is fascinating, but I guarantee you’ll love the burger.
