A Refurbished Escape Vista Boho with New Siding, Roof and Flooring

This was a very lightly used Vista Boho that ESCAPE had substantially rebuilt before reselling — and the list of what was replaced is the story. New siding, a new door, and a new metal roof with a long warranty outside; new flooring and a new couch inside.

That matters more than a cosmetic refresh. Siding and roofing are the expensive, disruptive jobs on any towable home, and they’re what age it fastest. A unit where all three have been renewed is effectively restarting its weathering clock, in the studio-style single-level layout the Vista Boho is known for.

Editor’s note: this refurbished Vista Boho was listed at $52,780 with a $20,000 discount in mid-2024 and has sold. Current listings are linked below.

Why a Rebuilt Unit Can Beat a New One

  • Envelope work is the costly part. Siding, door, and roof are the expensive jobs on a towable home — buying one where they are new removes years of future spend.
  • A long roof warranty transfers real value. A new metal roof with warranty is worth more than most interior upgrades combined.
  • Factory refurbishment beats private resale. The people who built it are the ones repairing it, to their own standard.
  • Studio layouts keep full ceiling height. No loft means volume everywhere, which is why the Vista Boho lives larger than its footprint.
