Rare 1970’s Balboa Motorhome on Dodge Chassis
The inside looks original and it seems to be in tip-top condition for its age!
There’s storage over the cab area but it can also be used as a children’s sleeping loft. The dinette converts into an ample sleeping space. Curtains enclose the cab area for privacy.
There’s a door in the rear of the camper and you can see lots of built-in storage throughout the entire van.
The couch in sleep mode gives you plenty of space to sleep, even if you are tall.
The area directly behind the cab also converts into a dinette which is great during the day.
A closer look at the cockpit. According to the listing, the air conditioner here is in need of service/repair.
Is an oceanside view okay today? The vintage plates and cookware are actually included in the sale.
The exterior is also in really good shape! So what do you think of this vintage van camper?

But does it have any sort of bathroom?? (Some just have a spot for a travel **commode** or bucket type toilet, or you get a pop up tent that is tall but not that wide & use that for your bathroom set up, some have ways to be used as a shower also, or use camp ground showers. Very cute!!
Hi Comet, yes it does have a bathroom w/ shower in the rear corner. I just added a video tour of it if you want to come back and have another look at it. Thanks!!
This is what I call style. Real nice. Maybe someday as I am almost old. 🙂 Is really awesome on the outside. Not to small either.
It is nice and has been well taken care of all these years. But, there are things needing to be done and the price is too high to buy and then fix things. I see there is water damage on both side windows. The thin wood will have to be taken off and leak fixed and replace wood. It needs updating, sound system first, that’s important to me. There are stains on the ceiling unknown by picture if it is from water leak or spills? Seat belts don’t look like it has the cross over the body belt? I just think $33,000 is too much. I admit it is a beautiful van, and has been loved over the years. Is the owner the only one to own it? I just see things like to airbags, and how do you get those in and what is that cost? With the right care it can be remodeled or updated and last another 30+ years. This is no way a negative review, far from it. Just being a buyer beware to really look at your purchase and have a realistic price of the Van and Updates.
I agree with you that the price is too high. Also he states that he doesn’t know if the frig works. This fan needs work.
I meant to say Van needs work.
