Maya is an incredible woman who dreamed of conservation work and used technology and creativity to build an animal sanctuary for 35 animals who cannot be released back into the wild. She even has her own little habitat on the 15-acre property—a 380-square-foot tiny house where she lives with her two dogs and pet ferret.
She live streams the animals in her sanctuary and uploads educational videos online, which help people care about these animals and support her work. You’ll love the tour of Maya’s tiny house and the bonus tour of the sanctuary, where you’ll meet many animals in her care.

Highlights:
- Maya founded her animal sanctuary in 2021 and found a new way to reach people through live-streaming the animals on Twitch and YouTube.
- Living on-site in her own tiny space works great for her. She’s close to her work and doesn’t need more than her 380-square-foot home.
- She has a loft bedroom accessible via a staircase and a first-floor bedroom that doubles as an office and home for her ferret.
- Maya also has two dogs who live with her, and she has plenty of space for her crafting and sewing machine.
- The sanctuary cares for 35 animals that are unreleasable for various reasons. It also helps people support conservation work by allowing them to “get close” to the animals via live streaming.

Oh I love your home and a sewing machine on top of it. Pink and Red are my favorite colors plus purple. Colors of the rainbow are delightful to me. Dogs, yes, I rescue only old abandoned, dumped, abused seniors dogs, on no. 5 at the moment as I live in an apt that only allows 1 dog at a time….being an ole senior lady I feel that is better then not helping at all. I love dogs and horses and nature and life and trees and color…You seen like such a delightful young lady…Keep up the great work your doing!
