Couple with a Newborn’s Skoolie Starter Home

Dakota and Dalton live with their newborn baby in an amazing DIY skoolie that might be one of the most stylish (and functional!) that we’ve ever featured. They chose a unique layout, placing the bathroom at the very back of the bus, and you’ll see how they incorporated rattan, gold, and swans throughout the build.

Their couch converts to a twin-size bed for guests, with custom burnt orange upholstery that pops! Their functional kitchen has a massive farmhouse sink and an oven for baking. What’s not to love about this bus conversion?

All the finishes in the home are beautifully cohesive.

Rattan and gold accents give their bus home a mid-century modern vibe.

The luxurious little bathroom is in the back of the bus.

VIDEO: Life with a NEWBORN BABY in a Skoolie bus conversion tiny home

Highlights:

  • Dakota and Dalton spent their honeymoon in a van traveling around Oregon, and after that experience, they knew they wanted to go tiny full-time.
  • They purchased the bus sight unseen at auction and spent 7 months making it their home.
  • Since they weren’t expecting a baby when they started, they’ll need to make some adjustments to their bus schedule as their daughter grows.
  • The swan faucet in the bathroom hearkens to the swan on the front of the bus.
  • They chose a wet bath, and the bus back door opens if they ever want to shower with a view.
