Cute & Quirky Tiny House by the Marsh

Donelle’s father left her some lovely property by a marsh, and she had promised him she’d do something great with it — so she had a lovely little cottage built on it, and plans on having a treehouse built in the future!

This 320 sq. ft. cottage has a garage underneath and the living space up top. It’s studio-style with a queen bed on one end and the kitchen on the other. A little bathroom with a tub finishes off the space. What do you think?

Description:

320sq ft tiny house heated space. It’s located near the marsh on Saint Helena Island, SC. I found a builder to help make my dreams find true. I love tiny houses in fact I’m obsessed! My dad passes at the age of 54 and I promised him I would do something with the property I was left. So I built tiny houses, and I’m sharing one with you!

I’m looking forward to building an aframe treehouse next!

One word: Adorable! Do I wish there was room for a sofa? Yes, but…the space is really well used as is and that little kitchen is amazingly well appointed! I would get a few of those things off of the counters…microwave on a shelf and hang the cutting boards on the wall, that sort of thing…but to have a full-sized dishwasher and stove is unheard of in such a small space. I might have opted for a dishwasher that was only 24″ but the bigger one means only running it once a week. I’d want a bigger refrigerator, too, but that one is pretty livable. Kudos for making a special place to spend time whether living there or having somewhere to escape to! Bravo!
