Star and Cameron are one remarkable couple! Not only did they pay down $70,000 in student loan debt in just a year, they were able to purchase a home, as well. But when the pandemic hit, they found themselves stuck at home because they didn’t live in a safe area for walking around.
At first, they thought they should simply buy a new home in a better area, but after getting debt-free they realized they really didn’t want to jump into a huge mortgage. Then they were laid off and decided #vanlife was the way to go! Just wait until you see their adorable conversion in the Tiny Home Tours interview below.
The couple even admitted that they wandered somewhat from their faith when they were working so much in order to pay off debt and “get rich,” and vanlife has helped ground them once again.

Wow! I have a lot of respect for Star and Cameron!
I am hearing more and more from people that have just given up on the idea of owning a home and are deciding to go mobile. I don’t know that it is the best decision financially and certainly depends on your own circumstances but the way things are going with extreme weather causing people to migrate to have safe housing and find a job I would say having mobile housing might be a good option.
I am not sure I would want o live in a van because you still have lots of expens3s with that choice. Gas, insurance, repairs and many places would not allow you to live in your vehicle.
I think we need a revolution in the country to allow mobile housing and RV and trailer living again in the US as it seems to me we are going to have a much more mobile society going forward.
Well, you sure sound like you know exactly what you are doing! Lol! What a beautiful kitchen, and I love the table/seating space. All the decorations are lovely! It looks like a very comfortable and organized place to live.
Very nicely done! The van is lovely and looks very livable.
