This is the story of Colin and Sofi. They’re a family with two young children + a dog who are living and traveling out of a huge van and go by @afueravida which translates to “outdoor life”.
But it’s not just any van. It’s a 1978 Mercedes 508D German Command Vehicle. Yeah! It’s a pretty serious vehicle and may even be considered a bus. So here is their story thanks to the Tiny Home Tours Team… Enjoy!

Screw the trailers, THIS is the way to travel!
Big thumbs up to those guys for setting up that van so well. -b
I love the van but I couldn’t take her. How many times did she say I have two kids? Seriously for north Americans he should have done the tour. I had to click it off bc she’s so annoying.
Nicely done and a rock solid truck. For me it lacks a decent bathroom .
Nice!!
I love it! That anyone can travel with 2 kids and keep their sanity deserves a medal or trophy or in their case maybe just a big check. I could listen to her talk all day. Her accent is musical and I think she’s adorable. I was glad to hear that they did have a toilet because with little ones you are going to have emergencies. Well done guys and you are raising 2 kids who will have wonderful memories.
