This is the VicariBUS skoolie. Meet Heather and Nick and their awesome doggie named Miles. They’re a couple with a dog who are traveling in their custom-built skoolie! Have you ever wanted to travel cross country in your own school bus conversion? That’s what they’re doing. And we think it’s awesome! Where do you think you would end up for a while if you have your own school bus conversion kind of like this?
We are three people – one of whom happens to technically be a dog – who have decided to get rid of all of our stuff, put working on hold (mostly), and to get out and live a little.

This is super nice. If it had better gas mileage, I would have one like this. Beautiful!
Nice. Love the cute dog too 👍😜
This is really good use of space. Comfortable and concise. I like it that you did not try to raise the roof as it really is not needed. It is perfect the way it is.
Excellent Job with the bus! Looks really nice and well planned. Is the bus propane powered? I know lots of school buses are. Propane is cheaper than gas ( usually ) even if on gas, the miliage would be comparable to the traditional RV.
Love the cute doggie 😊
Very cute! I’m just curious what kind of mileage these buses get. I’d love to do a conversion… Just not sure I could afford to travel in it like I want to do. I need to do a little research! Thanks for sharing.
I suggest you join a fb group like ours The New Skoolie Nation. In our group byiu can ask questions and see how we all are making it happen. It’s very exciting. We are like a family and better then any road side assistance you can buy because if you ever find yourself broken down air in need of a hand or help the Skoolie family is always there, because we all are family and have a great thing in common.
What kind of stove do you have?
Very good post. I’m experiencing some of these issues as well..
