This is such a fantastic little home! I wouldn’t change a thing! Any idea of The Dragonfly’s weight or what type truck can tow her? Gotta have a Dragonfly! ??
Glad you like it Melissa. One of my favorites too. Not sure about the exact weight at the moment but most likely you’ll need at least a 3/4 ton pick up truck (F250, Ram 2500, etc.)
Hi Melissa:
Our Dragonfly is 11, 400 lbs. We pulled it with a one ton from Saskatchewan to Colorado Springs and had no issues. We also have other sizes on our website with laundry and more space up to 28′ long. It is also available as a 400 square foot park model.
Glad you like it!
Sweet! Thanks Alex, Thanks John!
Very nice design & build. I like the folding wings/decks. With a little engineering & different materials, it could be a 2 piece set up with a top hinged roof that folds down first & then the deck folds up into that. The sliding ladder is cool as well as the table extension. Great job!
I’ve seen this Tiny House a while back, and I love it now as I did then when it made it’s first appearance here on Tiny House Talk… I love it’s draw bridge entrance, and dragonfly stained glass windows…!
The windows are adorable 🙂 http://minttinyhomes.com/
A well thought design for such a small space. Like the kitchen area, the decks are great and really increase your “living” space you could use a tent structure like they have to cover over fifth wheel drive platforms to create additional space. The stairs for the loft are very interesting, have not seen them done in that manner before. Lots of storage, and again, the amount of kitchen with the slide out table, which also makes extra work space — just a very functional unit all around.
G’day, Absolutely love this video, Thanks Deek and Adam for showing just how functional the place is. Whilst I love the ladder, decks and kitchen I reckon a special mention needs to go out to the little cupboard atop the wardrobe space, very handy for storing Specs (eye glasses) reading material etc.
Glad you enjoyed it! — Tiny House Talk Team
