Shipping Container Home with Rooftop Deck

This post contains affiliate links.

CargoHome builds impressive shipping container homes; this “short” container home is no exception. The rooftop deck, which you access via a spiral staircase, adds square footage with a view! Plus, the large glass front doors open wide to let the outside in during nice weather.

To “fit it all in” without a loft, the house has a Murphy bed, a couch by day, and sleeping space by night. The home also has a galley kitchen, bar seating, and a small bathroom at the very back of the house. According to the listing, you can purchase this model, as pictured, for approximately $83,438 in Elm Mott, Texas. What do you think?

The Anchor Container House by CargoHome

The huge glass doors open 270°

A spiral staircase goes to the rooftop deck.

Here you can see the living room in “couch mode.”

A barn door closes off the bathroom.

I love the way the TV is closed in so you don’t have to stare at it.

Now you can see it in “bed mode.”

A galley kitchen sits across from bar seating with window views.

The kitchen has a mini fridge, microwave and a sink. You could easily add a hot plate.

Beautiful shiplap walls continue behind the Murphy bed.

Details:

This compact home is truly a “tiny” house! At 160 square feet, it still finds room for a queen-size bed, custom tiled walk-in shower, refrigerator and more! The full-glass front doors, made from the original container doors, swing 270° to allow the outdoors in and indoors out. Inside features a custom Murphy bed that turns into a sofa in the day and a super-comfy queen bed at night. The rooftop deck offers a great place to relax, fire up a grill or stargaze at night. The clean, sleek cable railing makes the deck a safe place while still offering unrestricted views of the surroundings. Quartz or epoxy barn wood countertops, pine shiplap throughout and a custom-made sliding barn door complete the interior of this exquisite, cute CargoHome. The Anchor starts at $72,750.00 or as seen $83,483.00. Note: the price is for the container home itself. It doesn’t include land. You can expect delivery in 6-8 weeks. Financing will need to be acquired through a third party. Delivery cost will depend on location and the time frame that it’s wanted. If you have any questions, please email me at [email protected].
