From Wind River Tiny Homes:

This was a 650 sq ft permanent foundation built here in Chattanooga, TN. We only offer this home as a permanent foundation home and only build permanent structures in the Chattanooga area. We can build a smaller version of this home on a skid (12 ft by 33 ft) and would be able to ship anywhere in the continental US.

We may have plans available for this home soon. If interested when those will be available for sale, you can sign up for our newsletter and we will send an update once they become available.

  1. Best yet with great volume and knocked out interior..only thing I would change would be to angle the handles on the pull out storage for a sleeker line. Great work‼️‼️???

  2. Love the storage under the steps. Great looking home. The only change I would make is turning your car port into a full garage. For storage and protection from Wisconsin winters.

  3. Love the design layout and execution, full second story bedroom (I do NOT want to crawl to my bed), but I do wish some bathroom photos had been included. Is there a place for washer/dryer? What’s through those doors in the living room?

  4. I like the use of space and style of this small home. A couple thoughts though, is that a dishwasher next to the refrigerator? If so, it seems odd to not have it next to the sink. I would also prefer upper cabinets in the kitchen, with glass doors, instead of the shelves. It would hold more and keep items cleaner. Is there a bathroom, no pictures of one. I always like a floor plan, it helps to visualize how everything ties together. The roll up window is unique but not something I would want. I see to many potential problems with it. In an emergency it could hinder your exit. You can’t open it slightly for air circulation. No way for a screen. Depending on where the house is you could have bug and rodent problems if it is open even just a little. Give me French doors or a slider so that I can add a screen. It also blocks a large area where you might want a ceiling light.

Don’t get me wrong, I do like this home, I would just prefer a few changes to suit my tastes. Other may love the uniqueness of this home. Different strokes for different people.

  5. Beautiful! I love the modern, urban style of this house. The garage door that brings the outside in, is a nice touch. Yes, would have liked to see the bathroom as well. Also, why is the front door so high? I think that’s the only issue I would have with this home. I would definitely consider this plan for my retirement home in Hawaii…

  6. Loads of charm. Is this a 2 bed 1 bath? It would be great to know the cost of this house (built by pros) without the land.

  7. How much this win river tiny cost to build and ship to OR? your plan will include all foundation and other utilities for county permit apply? I am very interest on this design.

  8. This is a liveable size home, some good storage. What is the bedroom wall made of, that I don’t like at all. I agree with the others regarding seeing the bathroom and washer/dryer area. . . .

    1. If you mean the side facing the living area, I’m not sure what you call it, but it looks like that finish they do for exteriors in Japan. It entails scorching the wood and then rubbing it to a finish. It is supposed to last forever. I’ve seen it on some Japanese tiny houses on this site. I kind of like it.

  9. Great looking place. Woah. I’m totally impressed that a builder can understand the need for such precise kitchen sink area. The movable panels that shift to allow a multi-tasking work area is killer! Love it. What is the brand, model and type of this sink, please?

  10. Well this dwelling does it for me! What more is needed here I have to ask? I love the understairs storage and the kitchen sink, etc., etc. Very, very, very well done in my humble opinion!!!

  11. It is a small home…..nothing micro about it!
I can comment further if this is reposted with a floor plan and photos of the bathroom. There are doors…no idea what is behind them! Is the bedroom upstairs or behind a door? I do like the open feel of the living room, and the sink is great.

  12. This isn’t pertaining to the home. But lately there is a navy blue bar at the bottom of my screen. Just on this site and no matter what I do it will not disappear . Also, as I scroll to look at the next pics it moves up and down. It advertises tiny homes for sale. I’m about ready to give up on your site Alex. I just saw where someone else has the same annoyance . Please get it removed as I have really enjoyed all the info before this ruined it all for me! Please???

  13. I so wish you guys would put a price on each home. Would sure make it easier, I’m at a set budget and sitting through to find my price range has been a chore.

    1. Hi Denise, on most of our recent posts we try to include price in the “Highlights” section due to many requests just like yours. In some cases, however, like this one, we didn’t get a quoted price form the builder. — Tiny House Talk Team

  14. That’s a beautiful home, I love it. Being in Canada, the carport isn’t so useful as an enclosed garage/storage, but now I’m just splittinh hairs. I’d welcome a copy of the plans for this model.

  15. Wow, this is gorgeous! My favorites are the kitchen, it’s huge and pretty and the pull outs under the stairs. I love the idea of a carport, unfortunately I don’t think the Minnesota winters will agree with me. Very spacious and airy. It’s a 10!!

  16. It is a beautiful tiny house, but short of moving to Tenn. you can only get a palletized version… You need to own a permanent lot allowing for this structure, and that is if they let you legally build it even if you own the lot…!

    1. But it’s an option for those who own a lot 🙂 And many places the minimum is 400 sq. ft., so this would squeeze in.

      1. It has a bedroom upstairs with a bathroom, downstairs under the stairs skinny white door another bathroom, and then an office/guest bedroom (behind the carport) downstairs, so two bedroom two bathroom house, both have showers, no tubs. The only thing they don’t talk about is the barn-door slider, nothing says whats behind it ugh haha

  17. I would like to see more coverage of small homes on foundations. The whole TH movement is great, but it just doesn’t work for many people. Then there are the zoning hassles. Small (under 1000 ft.) homes on foundations is an idea that even stodgy old city governments might be able to get behind.

  18. This is an interesting home — I agree with what Russell Stanely had to say. The kitchen needs upper cabinets and not just open shelves, unless you like having to wash your dishes every time before you use them, which is not my idea of what I would want to have to be doing — plus then you have to be “artsy” with everything you have. Also I do not see much space for storing food — I guess you could keep your packaged food on the shelves under the stairs — I do like the way they did the storage there. It seems more like a suburban home than an urban home, but maybe where it is they have a lot of foresty area in their downtown areas. Being built on skids would certainly make it an easy option to have moved onto property somewhere and all you would need to do is have the proper foundation and hook up your utilities.

  19. So many elements I love in this house. Looks like it was designed for me. I love the raw edge wood shelves, rod iron, burnt wood, the under stair storage, the garage door, & are those concrete counters? LOVE IT!
