Ruby Lake Resort’s King Wood Cabin sits in the rainforest at Madeira Park, BC — solid salvaged wood, a king bed, and a private balcony. As of September 3, 2026, the printed 2026 rates are $160 per night in shoulder season (May 16 to June 12 and September 15 to October 31) and $200 per night in peak season (June 13 to September 14). Thursday, September 17, 2026 falls in that printed shoulder window.

It’s called the King Wood Cabin — one of Ruby Lake’s Rainforest Tiny Wood Cabins on the Sunshine Coast.

Inside: a king size bed with linens and blankets, an electric fireplace, and that balcony door opening to the trees.

Solid salvaged wood throughout. Antlers over the headboard, timber beams, the kind of cabin that reads as wood first.

Bed, seating corner, deck door. Parking is right outside. This cabin is the furthest from the washrooms and communal facilities — and it is not dog friendly.

Dresser, towels, toiletries as staged. Rates are based on double occupancy; additional guests are $25 per person per night. There is a 2-night minimum. Taxes are not included: 5% GST, 8% PST, and 3% MRDT. There is also a 2.4% credit-card surcharge.

Window to the foliage. The hard thing here is cooking: Ruby Lake currently prints that there are no cooking facilities available for the Wood Cabins and advises guests to bring their own camp stove.

Live-edge stump table and chairs outside. A shared hut nearby has coffee and tea, a microwave, drinking water, and a communal fridge. Bathhouses are nearby.

Gable-end close-up — the salvaged wood reading in detail.

King bed close-up. Address as printed: 15426 Sunshine Coast Hwy, Madeira Park, BC V0N 2H1. Phone 1-604-883-2269. Email info@rubylakeresort.com.
