This is very nice. Im not sure I would stay here. Im afraid of ticks. Maybe a case of bug spray would change my mind.
Am I missing something? Is there no insulation in this house?
No insulation was common in summer homes back in the day.
Yup, it’s a cabin and they can be very basic. Especially, when only used seasonally or in area where the climate/weather is generally always in a comfortable range… Being surrounded by trees can help as they can provide shade for the home during the summer and allow more solar gain in winter…
Besides, glamping only means luxury camping in comparison to actual rough outdoor camping. So covers a wide range of conditions that are generally not all going to be intended to be a home away from home getaway type experience and so some may be closer to actual camping than others… After all, it does state it’s for outdoor-based vacations…
Good point, James. This would be like staying in a really pretty comfortable cozy tent, and cooking and stuff outside. Kind of poshing it instead of roughing it, but still doing the camping things that are fun outside. I like it! It really is pretty.
It’s cute but, I do hope there is an out house close by since I didn’t see a porta poty.
Listing states there’s a shared portable bathroom, there’s a nearby retro trailer retreat on the property as well…
Nice small cabin on what it looks like a perfect spot. Yet, this is of zero interest to me without an interior kitchen of any sort, and a bathroom. No one wants to go a distance however short, to a portable bathroom !!
A very nice cozy cabin, for a long weekend home away from home. It’s wonderful that you used nature to compliment the cabin. Great job!
