    Nice but not worth over $170,000. I can buy a house with that much money. And still have enough left to furnish it.

      Problem is that’s not remotely equivalent. You can’t travel in that house and reach remote locations where you can do things that you can’t in a neighborhood. What is being paid for is very different!

      Thing to always understand is there are always trade offs and different reasons and things people value that will cause up to very different choices to be made.

      Besides, not everyone can even get an empty lot for this price. Cost depends a lot on location and the same cost is not the reality for everyone in the country. Being another reason that causes some people to make different choices, especially, when moving to a different part of the country is not an option. People’s specific situation is an important consideration!
