Very nice, option of a gooseneck bedroom ideal for those, like me, who can’t cope with a conventional staircase and I imagine could be added onto a small trailer without needing to expand to the full 40′, but every time I see this type of staircase I wonder if the rise could be adjusted so the staircase is slightly longer but with a shallower rise. A friend has a house with a staircase with a really shallow rise, built for those huge crinoline skirts 200 years ago. I can’t manage a normal staircase but hers is easy because it is more like stepping up a kerb from road to pavement, shallow enough the vast majority including wheelchair users but steep enough to mark the difference. Longer and shallower rise could be a solution for many, they are also usable if using crutches, and would be ideal for many who would otherwise have a problem with a TH, especially if on a foundation so a higher roofline means that you can stand up in the loft.
