From Commute Car to Off-Road Beast

This opening installment focuses on laying the groundwork—literally. To start the transformation, the builder modifies the suspension to accommodate larger all-terrain tires, giving the Prius a serious boost in off-road capability. Watching this low-slung eco-commuter morph into something with actual trail presence is nothing short of fascinating.

Building a Cabin on a Prius?!

The most jaw-dropping moment? The start of a custom camper cabin built right on top of the car. Yes, you read that right—a full cabin, not a roof tent. By the end of Part 1, the exterior of the cabin is complete, giving us our first real look at this futuristic Prius camper silhouette.

The interior build is still to come, leaving us hanging and eager for Part 2. But what we’ve seen so far is already pushing boundaries in the DIY overlanding world.
