I don’t have the exact details of this modern Japanese home for you but it seems relatively small.
I’d guess it’s about 800 sq. ft. or so but I’m not sure. What I really thought you’d find interesting is:
- The “Smart” Toilet (it even cleans itself)
- Space Saving Cabinets (genius cabinet design)
- The Overall Japanese Style (you’ll see)

I would have filed for DIVORCE if some guy followed ME into the bathroom with a CAMERA—she was a good sport about it and managed to not flash everyone.
But—I kinda would have prefered knowing WHAT the toilet DOES and how MUCH it costs and can it be used with conventional methods ie TP etc?
So not what I am used to seeing when I come here—-interesting tho.
Clearly that toilet is an engineering marvel, but one which, in my mind, is out-of-tune with the tiny home revolution — the spirit of which is simplicity and a closer relationship with the earth. I’ll stick with a basic unit I can repair myself. I feel the featured toilet, though interesting, is in the same category as automatic dishwashers: Are these really needed in, or appropriate to, tiny houses?
Wow, really?? Very surprised the toilet vid was posted!
