The Quantum is the smallest model from Maverick Tiny Homes of New Paris, Ohio. It’s a 14-foot tiny house on wheels with white board-and-batten siding, a dark standing-seam metal roof, and a covered front porch framed by a wood truss. Inside, natural pine covers nearly every surface, with a sleeping loft overhead.

Even at 14 feet, the Quantum is built with the same materials as Maverick’s larger models: a custom trailer, wood framing, foam insulation rated up to R-33 in the floor, walls, and ceiling, and a 24-gauge standing-seam metal roof from Sheffield Metals. The siding is LP SmartSide, an engineered wood that resists rot and holds paint well. Each home is NOAH Tiny House Inspected and Certified, a third-party inspection that can make financing, insurance, and parking easier to sort out.
A Small Footprint with a Big Porch
The covered porch is the standout outside. On a home this small, a sheltered spot for your boots, a chair, and your morning coffee makes it feel larger and more livable.

Maverick also builds the Quantum in other colors. This one wears olive board-and-batten with a glass side door. You can spot the mini-split heat pump’s outdoor unit on the end wall. That heat pump handles both heating and cooling, which matters in a home that has to handle Ohio winters and summers.

Pine Inside, with a Loft Overhead
Natural pine tongue-and-groove walls and pine trim give the interior a warm cabin feel. On the 14-foot Quantum, a ladder leads up to the sleeping loft. That keeps the main floor open, since a full staircase takes up a lot of room in a home this size. Built-in pine shelving makes use of the wall space beside the ladder.

If you’d rather have stairs, Maverick’s 18-foot and longer homes switch to a storage staircase like the one shown here, with drawers and cubbies built into the steps beside a butcher-block kitchen.

Up in the loft, the pine continues all the way around, making a cozy sleeping nook.

What Makes This Build Special
- A covered porch on a 14-foot home adds outdoor living space that most tiny houses this size skip.
- A ladder instead of stairs keeps the small main floor open.
- Quality materials even at the smallest size: standing-seam metal roof, LP SmartSide, and insulation up to R-33.
- Standard flush toilet, so there’s no composting toilet to deal with.
- NOAH certification gives buyers third-party verification of the build.
