When it comes to living in tiny houses I think we can all agree that there’s more than just one way of doing it. And this tiny cabin with a deck and poolside cabana is just another example of what one can do with our own creativity. I’m calling it luxury tiny living.
Instead of struggling our entire lives to live in an oversized house with an oversized pool and oversized interior air conditioned space (filled with too much low quality stuff)… We’re just saying… Why not something like this?
Something smaller, smarter, more affordable, but still really nice? This way maybe we can actually have more time to spend however we’d like to spend it. Maybe we can spend it using and appreciating what we do have, right? How would your life be different living simply?

‘Luxury’ Tiny/Small Living?
This is more like ‘luxury’ tiny living even though to some of us a place like this would feel ultra luxurious and spacious. But something like this would be the ultimate dream for me to have on my own acreage somewhere. What do you think? Is this something you could shoot for in the future?
Tiny House Boom?
Is ‘luxury’ tiny living something that you think is going to happen thanks to the ‘tiny house boom’ that’s happening throughout the world right now?

Holy moly! I would love to see more pictures! and a layout?
Hey Fred- more photos coming, K? Thanks for patience everyone
I don’t think I have the financial means to live in luxury at ANY size. ;P
I’d love this setup though – a just-enough house (small or tiny) next to a private pool.
Well who knows maybe you might win the lotto or something one day? A lot of these are actually resort cabins (this one ended up being one of those) but I still love getting to share them and help people imagine them as tiny homes because it is possible to do (for not very much $ either especially if you have cheap land and you DIY)
“And this tiny cabin with a deck and poolside cabana is just another example of what one can do with our own creativity. I’m calling it luxury tiny living.”
Where can I get plans for this home???
Thanks!
Beautiful! Could we get more info?
I did some research and found some additional info regarding this beautiful beach house. It’s a vacation rental located at Bouddi Peninsula, Australia. Here is the hotel’s website: http://www.prettybeachhouse.com.au/ and here is another site with great exterior and interior shots of the beach house: http://ideasgn.com/lifestyle/travel/pretty-beach-house-bouddi-peninsula-australia/. Enjoy!
Thank you so much Lu. You all are the best.
You’re very welcome Alex! Glad to be of service!
:))
Yes! This is exactly the idea I’m going with. Glass countertops, high-end mosaic tile, luxury fixtures; they can’t be too expensive when the house is only 500 sq. ft.
Exactly, Sally. Now, if it can be carved out of a couple of shipping containers on concrete piers, it would be my dream home.
Well Alex, I think the “people” are trying to tell you something… and I’ll add my voice to it as well.
What is the point in showing a single picture? While I appreciate that not all buildings that you show on your site will allow pics of the inside, a single picture which doesn’t show much of the property is well, not a good look and not even a teaser.
And yes, this “is” your site, and I appreciate the time and effort that goes in to make it what it is, but if you don’t give people what they want, then they will start to leave. Unlike the woman who posted the other day about you teaching how to do an online business and selling T shirts etc. and stomped off into the virtual sunset, I understand the realities of an internet presence. Gotta put food on the (tiny?) table somehow. And, it wasn’t like it was in your face with pop ups etc.
Having said that, I look forward to your emails and the new places that we might not have seen.
Thanks Paul I appreciate the input and I’m getting on it now (interior shots). Me posting the one photo led to a reader finding out more for us (and I’m updating now). I’m always here to serve you but you’re always free to go to the many other tiny house sites out there but I’d love to get to have you here. And when I offer stuff for sale it’s always optional! Nobody has to buy anything I’m just offering it because it might help someone. The t-shirts some people really get a lot of enjoyment out of. And they get to express themselves with them. It’s fun. That’s why I make them. Whoever doesn’t want it, no worries, just ignore it and enjoy all the free stuff that’s here everyday. But there are other people who want and like it so let’s let them enjoy it, right? The internet business learning also has already helped a handful of people that I’ve recommended it to find something fun, interesting, new, exciting, and potentially rewarding thing to do to fill the day and maybe even build a future based on their passions. How can I not share that?
Right on, Alex 🙂
Alex,
No harm in putting something out there, but some folks have weird internal stories about pressure.
I love the concept of tiny luxury… and that being defined individually. Like the young woman with bookcases and time to read, or the young man with a keyboard inside the desk/table. Like a pool, in this one. Mine is a bigger kitchen and dropping a lot of other things. I get so many ideas from these places that it keeps my idea alive while I am paying off my land and living in an old mobile. Still room for improving the design!
Oh yeah… that kitchen is an adjunct to my big garden.
Alex You know I can be brutally honest, and very seldom make a comment with out good reason… I know for 1 how much you put into this way of life, and how much you care about it… But when a homeowner does not take the initiative while trying to sell a home, I will be all over them like white on rice… It is the responsibility of the home owner to make an effort, you can only do so much, and have to spread your self pretty thin some times so there is nothing you can do about it… That’s where we lock horns with the seller and ask him what the hell he or she was thinking… Hay they want to sell the home, you just want the experience of the buyers and the people at home to be one that they will enjoy the whole tiny home experience… So don’t worry about any blame, it is the home owners responsibility to present their home for the viewers to buy or suggest to a friend about to buy a home and not yours…!
Hey Otessa… no need to “SHOUT”
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
: )
YES I DO NEED TO SHOUT, WHEN I GET EXCITED ABOUT A BEAUTIFUL PLACE. THIS HOME WAS SOMETHING TO SHOUT ABOUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lol. You guys are funny. This one made me excited too. More photos up now too (so come back and hit the refresh button on your browser)
All of these look great but like everyone before me it’s a tease. Interior pictures would be nice. For all we know this could just be a picture made on the computer and posted. As for the Tiny Homes on wheels most code enforcement are becoming savvy to the “off the grid” living and it’s nearly impossible to find a place to park without buying your own land with a dwelling on it and then classify the tiny home as a shed prior to completing the interior. So where is the savings and where are you traveling to if you have no where else to park? There is a man with a tiny home in Cali being transferred to NYC for work and the closest place to park is a 2 hr commute!
Hi Ellen all done just got more pics if you want to come back and hit ‘reload’ on your browser when you get to this post as I was able to add more photos thanks to Lu’s research
I’ll add my voice to the choir – need more photos, plans, or a link.
You got it Heather. Come on back and hit refresh
The following is where I would like to build a first sustainable community, initiating with this design and maybe finish the first community with this design hope and expect to need others.
This is on what I consider to the most special miles of the Mexican Coasts.
I am really interested in this design.
De antemano, agradezco sus atenciones.

More photos coming! Please have patience with me. Sometimes it takes a few days to dig up the rest but it starts with this. Thanks to you guys (a lot of times you’re the ones who help me find more info, photos, videos, etc. of tiny homes).. anyway- more pics coming in a few minutes (refresh/reload this page in your browser soon when you come back)
Hey, you’re doing fine Alex and we so appreciate your time and effort. As for this house the only downside I can see is having to make the bed all the time since it is so easily seen in the open plan. Lol. Something my mother still gets after me about.
THANK YOU OUR BELOVE ALEX FOR COMING THROUGH WITH THE PHOTOGRAPHS, YOU ARE INDEED A MAN AFTER OUR OWN HEARTS, AND NOW I SHALL SHOUT THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you!! 🙂
I want to build or buy this..are there more pictures coming with layout? Will we be able to buys plans?
This is a beauty and has me really excited, too. I’ve been thinking of downsizing for about a year now since my three children are all grown and living on their own. My husband and I, like many others, got caught up bigger and more are better for the last twenty eight years raising children. We have boxed things up and paid more than we would like to admit to store it. We don’t even know what is in the boxes. We have rounded a corner. The street sign reads “Freedom from Stuff”. We are on the verge of parting with many things so that someone else may find need or beauty in them, keeping only what is absolutely precious and necessary to us. If this small home just had a kitchen, I’d say this one is for us! Thank you Alex and everyone else who shares on this site. It inspires us to live a better more meaningful life.
Thanks Merri I’m glad that you’re loving the site and getting value from it. That makes me very happy!
I am 69 and moving to Wa. My husband passed 3 years ago and I feel the need to go tiny. I have a friend out there and we are going to buy some land and build tiny homes with a reading room inbetween them. We are excited. It took me a wile to talk her in to it but she has come around. We have so many ideas just from your site. We both have special needs so I am sure they will be different from anything we have seen but we are looking forward to it. So keep the pictures coming we love seeing all the little houses and yes I love the pool but we both red a lot and I paint so we need an old Eng.. reading room and a porch. love reading all…
Carol, that is exactly what I would do! A community of elders with different skills and crafts together in a compound of tiny homes. Sounds a lot better to me than your average retirement community. Got room for another widow on your land? 🙂
I think that would be a really cool place to retire too.
All of the little tiny vacation bungalows are lovely – and at $1,700+ per night I should think they would be! Yeesh!
Alex. How do I get info on plans and layout for this house? I’m in love!
What I wouldn’t give to live in this place! It’s breathtaking! However, it doesn’t look to be very small to me. What is the sq. footage? Also, I’m curious to the cost of building this. It couldn’t possibly be to cut expenses, for which most tiny homes are built! This looks to be out of the reach financially for most people! However, it is gorgeous! Absolutely!
I love the tiny house lifestyle. My wife and I are in planning stages of becoming tiny housers. That being said, I want to know ab0ut storage spacce for clothes that must be hung. I see how all the other pieces fit together but have yet seen this topic discussed. I may have missed it but I would like to see something about it. thanks.
I want it. It is so me! A hot tub would be better, but not in Florida. Fantastic.
Alex where can we get more info on building this home or similar with cost. . Ray to build my retirement nest
… And get this: it costs $1900 AU to stay there per night. AND you have to stay two nights!!
So, for the cost of two nights in this place you’d be well on your way to building your own!!
I’d like to get plans for this house and pool. Are they available anywhere?
How much are plans because I’m ready to buy!!!! This is PERFECT for me!
I could deal with this.
I actually came across a guy on YouTube who made a pool out of cardboard, so ever since I’ve been thinking, “tiny house with lap pool!” (The cardboard was used to shape the pool and then taped and covered with Quikcrete.)
I would love to see architects get into all kinds of creative tiny house designs developed with the amateur/newbie builder in mind. I don’t believe economical tiny houses and aesthetics are mutually exclusive, and the tiny house concept can actually free us up to create environments that would otherwise be unattainable.
WOW. Understatement. This is absolutely gorgeous. Would love to see more detail on this one please?
My husband and I live in a modest 2000 sq foot house. A few years back we installed a tiny pool, seeing this makes me now want to do the tiny house and pool together and finally downsize our home, please show more if you can of this property!! thanks
.. I need a like button for all these great little cottages .. looks great and I love the fireplace ..
Well different strokes for different folks!, I think Tiny luxury is attainable in the eyes of the beholder (in every style whether country, ultra, moderne, baha, etc) so I find the American homes comment awkward and prudish (but I probably get your point). We should not view or judge rather how most people (display or do not) their belongings, some chose by decor, form, use/ utility/ functional frequency etc… or what have you. Maybe we could step back and take a small note from the chapters of graciousness and be thankful and happy to be a friend and be invited to share one or many moments with another and check our opinions at the door (oh, that’s polite btw). Every moment is not a “TWITTER” moment etc… aka, kindly remember what your grandma taught you about about what not to say or not to say at all.
Oh my gosh so beautiful, I would definitely want to live here
May I ask what the total price was for this home ???
I love the pics, need more of the interior though, I was wondering, how do you find out if you have have a tin house on your property, my parents have land that their home is on and there is enough land to put a tiny house in the back of them. Please help I have no idea where to start.
what I have seen looks appealing to me.. My plan is my next small house will have nice finishes(not spectacular) plus functions that some call luxuries. I want a swimming pool, dishwasher, freezer. comfortable bed and sofa. I am old and have no interest in sitting on a few inches of foam over plywood…. I will never have a tiny house because I want an real dining room and a real kitchen, because I like to cook and have guests for meals.
There probably isn’t a kitchen. You also notice they don’t show a living room – probably a teopical luxury resort
This is absolutely gorgeous. What company built this home, what are the specs *(Sq footage)*, where is it located and what is the price? This is AMAZING.
#wowwowwow
wanted to see entire place.
This rental is included with other “micro or tiny” homes so it may b a little out of place but it sure is popular- it’s my fav! Everyone wants to know approx square footage & a BALLPARK build cost but it does not likely have a kitchen or storage ETC Regardless the design is outstanding! Everyone wonders about upkeep too. Thanks- MORE PICS!!
where did they buy or how did they make that pool??
Really would like plans and cost
