Kay’s Nest is a one-of-a-kind, two-story wood house tucked into the pines at Evergreen Lodge in Groveland, California, just outside Yosemite National Park. Upstairs is a cozy studio loft under a vaulted ceiling with a king bed, a kitchen, and a private deck. Downstairs is a big game room with a pool table and pinball. At about 1,500 square feet, it sleeps two to four and is made for small family getaways.

A Studio Loft in the Trees

The upper floor is one open studio under a steep vaulted ceiling with a deep red accent wall. It has a king bed, a sitting area with a queen sofa bed, a dining area, and a full bathroom with a shower and tub. Glass doors open onto a private deck looking into the pines.

A Full Kitchen

The loft’s kitchen runs along both walls, with wood cabinets, a full-size fridge, a range, and a dishwasher, plus a round dining table by the deck doors. A washer and dryer are in the house too, which is handy for longer stays.

A Game Room Downstairs

The lower level is all about fun. There’s a pool table, a pinball machine, a bar counter with stools, a leather sectional for lounging, a small table, a mini-fridge, and a half bath. It’s a great spot for families to hang out after a day in Yosemite.
