Nice. A lot of the laneway houses incorporate a garage but I see they have a couple of off street parking spaces beside it so that likely satisfies the requirements. The plan doesn’t seem to quite match the building though.
Really lovely little cottage, especially clever bath, and I love the washer and dryer set up (though I may have put a sliding door so the door would no be in the way or I not be knoocked down by someone entering. How do you get up to the beautiful and spacious loft?
Marsha, there is no loft. The bump in the roofline provides an extra window to the bathroom/laundry which does not have a full height wall on the interior side of the house.
Part of the optical illusion which makes the house look bigger.
And lordy be, if it’s going to be a small house, then nix the murphy bed, and have a real bedroom for privacy, especially from visitors… they do expect to have the occasional visitors don’t they?
And I agree with ALL the comments about correct plans with the pictures… BUT, this is what comes on the link page as well.
Ya don’t think they might have been smoking too much of that maple leaf weed do ya? : P
Sweet cottage. Finger hit āreport commentā by accident.
That is one sweet cottage. We need to have those here in Downtown Long Beach, California.
I WOULD USE A DIFFERENT INTERIOR AND MAKE THINGS MORE TROPICAL AND MEDITERRANEAN, THE INTERIOR IS TOO MODERN FOR ME, BUT THE CONCEPT OF THESE HOUSES ARE JUST GREAT. I DO LOVE MODERN APPLIANCES, I JUST DO NOT LIKE OVERLY MODERN DECOR.
Impressive
This is me all over… I will change the exterior design but this is a perfect example of a minimalist design that perfectly fit any lifestyle… thanks for alway inspire us and making us believe that less is more…
I think this is really cute, but I’d need a separate bedroom for sure.
This is a cute floor plan. However I am looking for something much more basic, kinda “finish the inside yourself” kit. And cost? That has to be one tenth of the asking price for that one…otherwise no incentive. The balance of the money goes for land and animals.
Love it!!! It’s exactly what I want, but in the woods. I always felt a bedroom was such a waste of space. I am all in for the open floor plan with a Murphy Bed. I live in a 750 sqft house now, and we never use the living room, unless we are having a cocktail party. 400 sqft is perfect for two and a 30 lbs cat…. Lol
Does anyone know how much this costs to build (approximately)?
i’d love to know the cost. And, is there a drawn floor plan? id love to build this as a guest space on my property. LOVE IT!
I really like this house a lot.
Love the design, inside and out. It appears the outside of the house is meant to match the large main house. Perfect finishes. The only changes Id make and this is just my opinion, Id add a little more length to the kitchen so you could have two cabinets above. It wouldn’t take much into the dining space area, mount a microwave under. Then either have added a bump out for a bedroom, even if just a few feet to allow a full time queen bed yet have it feel like it is in it’s own space. If not possible, then a loft for sure with a circular staircase. If this home was available here in SoCal at that price, I would buy it.
