The first Unyoked x Forestry England off-grid cabins are in Dalby Forest, North Yorkshire — each space purpose-built for two. Forestry England offers a comfy king size bed; Unyoked a high-end queen bed with premium linens.

The Cabin in the Leaves
The long shot is the one that reads first. A dark gabled cabin sits on log piers in autumn leaves — black vertical siding, a chimney off the ridge, two folding chairs and a small table on a low deck. A teal wheelbarrow is parked in the leaves.
Through the end window you can see the bed, white bedding, lamps on. Unyoked has been building off-grid cabins since 2017. This is a 10-year collaboration with Forestry England, the first of its kind. More forest locations are coming throughout 2026.
The Sleeping End

Forestry England captions this still “Cosy sleeping area with king-sized bed.” Light plywood walls. White pillows and duvet, a green throw, a patterned blanket at the foot. Two reading lights over the head of the bed. A window into the trees.
At the foot of the bed, a small square table is set for two — plates, forks, green enamel mugs. Each space is purpose-built for two. That is the hard limit of the stay.
The Living Run

From the other end: a wood-burning heater at the left edge, a built-in shoe bench with a green cushion, coats on pegs, a high shelf with a radio and a lantern. A plywood door in the back wall. The kitchen run on the right — gas stove, kettle, a small table with two green mugs and a notebook.
Unyoked features books and analog activities. The still is the shelf and the notebook.
King-Size Bed and Wood-Burner

Forestry England captions this one “The king-size bed and wood-burner make for a comfortable getaway.” The bed sits under the big end window. The wood-burner stands on the right, black pipe up the plywood wall. The kitchen counter is in the foreground — gas stove, kettle, circular finger pulls on the cabinets.
The Kitchen Window

Forestry England includes a kitchen with gas stove, bar fridge, coffee grinder and more. The still is the window over the sink: two-burner gas stove, square stainless sink, a brass bridge faucet, a hand-crank coffee grinder on the shelf with green mugs and a French press. Books on the left. Forest through the glass.
Unyoked prints the cabin fully off-grid and solar-powered, including a private composting toilet and a hot shower. Forestry England includes a hot shower and composting toilet, and a wood-burning heater.
The Shoe Bench

Someone is on the built-in bench, tying hiking boots. Coats on the pegs. The wood-burner pipe at the left edge. A glass door opens toward the hills.
Dalby Forest sits in the North York Moors National Park — over 8,500 acres, walking and running routes, cycle trails, a designated Dark Sky Discovery Site.
