This is a tiny tree cottage in St. Augustine, Florida.
It’s an Airbnb rental on the upper level of the structure. Can you imagine building a home like this? You could live in one unit while renting out the other! Pretty cool, right? It could literally pay for itself and you could live mortgage-free while still having a mortgage. Lol!

This house is beautiful. However in light of all the forest fires lately, I’d be afraid to live that close up on a tree. Let alone be surrounded that close by them, as much as I like trees. My property is only a few yards from the river and this kind of worries me too. I’m up hill from the river but I’m down hill from the main road. Location is key when building. County requirements comes in 2nd when it comes to being able to save your home and/or escape a natural disaster. Which has become an all too real issue to consider.
Very nice house and design. I love the idea of having 2 suites, either for aging parents on the ground floor, or for AirBNB to supplement my own retirement income at some point in the future. I wish we could see more and the floor plans!
I am a 90 minute drive from this tiny house in St. Augustine (I live in Gainesville). I’m hoping to book a long weekend stay this coming summer for my 3 adult children and me (ages 21, 20, and 18). I’ll update this afterwards once we’ve had the opportunity to stay here!
